The Butler Student Nursing Association (BSNA) is comprised of students enrolled in the Nursing program, faculty advisors and consultants. Voting privileges of a BSNA member are defined by active participation in the organization.
The purpose of the Student Nursing Association is to promote the profession of Nursing, and to contribute to Nursing education in order to provide the highest quality health care. The Student Nursing Association helps to provide programs representative of fundamental and current professional interest and concerns, and aid in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role and the responsibility for the health care of people in all walks of life. Graduates of the nursing program are strongly encouraged to continue their education and earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Your strong foundation at Butler helps this become a reality. We use hybrid learning that includes online and two to three days of in-person instruction to give your schedule flexibility without sacrificing quality. In our learning studios and Clinical Learning Center, we house simulated clinical environments to immerse you in the look and feel of the nursing experience. Your online coursework is designed for a user-friendly and straightforward experience.
You gain valuable interaction with peers, instructors and lab tools without sacrificing personal responsibilities, like family and work. Don't stress about daily childcare, budgeting for 5 days of gas to campus or saving all your chores and errands for the weekend.

Butler’s Nursing program is adding three new training mannequins to its simulation lab at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. The additions include Victoria, the most advanced birthing simulator available, along with new specialty pediatric and adult patient simulators. These high fidelity training tools replicate real clinical scenarios and strengthen hands on learning. The new practice patients will be available the in Fall 2026 semester.
Qualified students in eligible programs can earn their two-year degree and have their tuition, fees and books paid for.
