Student Musicians Take Center Stage Next Week for Fall Concert
The Butler Community College Instrumental Music Department will perform its Fall Concert next week on the Butler of El Dorado campus. The performance takes on an extra-special meaning by showcasing the world premiere of Centennial Pulse by Grace Baugher-Dunlap, commissioned in celebration of Butler's 100th anniversary year.
Student musical groups performing in the Fall Concert include Butler's Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Show Band, as well as the Woodwind and Brass Ensembles. The Instrumental Music groups are directed by Music Professor Brett Martinez. Performances are Thursday and Friday, Oct. 15 and 16, at 7 p.m. in the college theatre of the Fine Arts 700 Building.
Tickets: Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors. Reserve tickets at the Box Office by calling 316.322.3262, online at www.butlercc.edu/box-office, or at the ticket office on the night of the performance if not sold out. Butler students, faculty, and staff are admitted free with college I.D.
