Make an Appointment

Make An Enrollment Appointment

Advising appointments are for enrollment only. For questions, adding/dropping or degree checks please call, email advising@butlercc.edu, or walk in to any location.

Appointments are NOT required and are limited especially during peak enrollment times. Students are welcome to walk-in to any location and meet with an advisor without an appointment. Current or Returning students in good standing can fill out the release to enroll online form and get permission to enroll themselves online.

Before meeting with an advisor, please make sure you have the following based on your student type

High School Student

I am currently in high school and want to take Butler classes while in high school.

Applied for Admission
Activated your Butler account
Submitted a High School/Home School Release Form, signed by your high school principal
Submitted a copy of your current high school transcript
Submitted copies of your ACT/SAT scores (if applicable). *Depending on your scores, high school grades and GPA, you may need additional testing

New Student

I have never attended Butler or I will attend Butler after I graduate from high school (or earn my GED).

Activated your Butler account
Submitted a copy of your previous high school and/or college transcripts (if applicable)
Submitted copies of your ACT/SAT or ACCUPLACER placement scores within the last 3 years (if applicable). *Depending on your scores, high school grades and GPA, you may need additional testing

Current Student

I am currently taking classes at Butler.

Cleared of any holds that will prevent enrollment. To see any current holds, select “Prepare for Registration” in the Enroll tile in your Butler account

Returning Student

I took classes at Butler in the past but have not taken classes for two years or more and want to enroll again.

Re-activated your Butler account
Submitted copies of college transcripts if you have attended another college since your last semester at Butler. Official transcripts must be submitted in order to receive credit for college classes.

Transfer Student

I am transferring to Butler from another college and am seeking a degree.

THE FOLLOWING STUDENT TYPES DO NOT NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

Guest Student

I would like to take a few classes at Butler to transfer to another school. I am not seeking a degree or financial aid at Butler.

Completed a Guest Student application for Admission
Activated your Butler account
Emailed copies of college transcripts to guestprereq@butlercc.edu if enrolling into a class that a prerequisite

Guest students have permission to enroll themselves online through their Butler account. If you need assistance please call, email guestprereq@butlercc.edu, or walk-in to any location.

International Student

I am a student from outside the United States.

Completed an International Student application for Admission
Reviewed the International Admissions Requirements and submitted all required documents
Received your Butler acceptance letter and activated your Butler account

International students can only enroll with an International advisor. After completing all your International Admissions Requirements you can meet with an International advisor on a walk-in basis during business hours.

Athlete

I have been recruited to play on a Butler sports team.

Submitted a copy of your previous high school and/or college transcripts (if applicable)

Athletes can only enroll with the athletic advisor Matt Trosper 316-322-3322 or mtrosper@butlercc.edu.

Students are always welcome to walk-in during business hours and enroll with an advisor without an appointment. Please see our business hours.

Appointment Options

In Person Appointments

Appointments may be limited or not available during peak enrollment times.

In person appointments are available for all student types (High school, New and Current/Returning/Transfer).

Once you have scheduled your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email and text (optional) with your appointment date, time, location, and advisor. If you do not receive your confirmation email, check your junk/spam email or call 316-322-3163.
Please call if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Show up on time and check-in with the Advising front desk.
If you are more than 5 minutes late, you need to reschedule or wait and see a walk-in advisor.
High school and Current/Returning/Transfer students are allotted 30-minute appointments and New students are allotted 1 hour.

Phone Appointments

Appointments may be limited or not available during peak enrollment times.

Phone appointments are available for High school and Current/Returning/Transfer students but not New student. New students should schedule either an in person or virtual appointment or walk-in and meet with an advisor.

Once you have scheduled your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email and text (optional) with your appointment date, time, and advisor. If you do not receive your confirmation email, check your junk/spam email or call316-322-3163.

Be at your computer in a quiet/private location, logged into your MyButlerCC account and ready at the time of your appointment. For log in assistance call the Service Desk 316-322-3306

Click “Join your appointment” in your email and log into Microsoft Teams using your Butler login information.
