Here at Butler, our students take an active roll in the day to day management of our cowherd. We utilize herd production records, individual weight gain and feed efficiency data and carcass information on a daily basis. Use of technologies such as heat detection systems, artificial insemination, embryo transfer and ultrasound have aided in the selection and mating process. Our focus has always been to provide a learning experience for our students that will compliment that of the classroom. Here at the Butler Ag Facility we take great pride in the continued growth and improvement of our cowherd.
