Graduation Procedures

About the Ceremony

Commencement will take place on May 13, 2017 in the Butler Community College Gymnasium in El Dorado.

The Associate of Arts (AA)/Associate of Applied Science (AAS)/Certificate/GED and Associate of General Studies (AGS) ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. Lineup will start at 8:15 a.m. in the cafeteria located in the Student Union Building.

The Associate of Science (AS) ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Lineup will start at 12:15 p.m. in the cafeteria located in the Student Union Building.

Turn in your graduation application and final degree check from an advisor by March 20, 2017 to avoid a late fee. 

Arrive early to check in.

Each ceremony will last approximately one and a half hours.

Cap and Gown Information

A voucher to pick up your cap and gown will be mailed to you in April. Caps and gowns are available for pick-up at the bookstores in Andover or El Dorado prior to Book Buy Back. You must have your voucher with you to pick up your cap and gown.
