Learn to Make Sparks Fly

Multiple units of new welding equipment

Butler’s welding program uses state-of-the-art welding equipment and AWS certified welding instructors and inspectors to give you the best training possible. You study a variety of welding and cutting processes, as well as blueprint reading and metallurgy. Whether you earn a nine-month certificate or a two-year degree, you are uniquely prepared to become AWS (American Welding Society) certified in SMAW (shielded metal arc welding), GMAW (gas metal arc welding), and GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding), and you have the skill sets needed to be successful in today's welding industry.

Area employers prefer and actively seek to hire Butler graduates because of their strong reputation for producing well-trained and accomplished students in the field of welding. Both the associate degree and the certificate program prepare you for entry into one of the most exciting, in-demand, high-wage technical fields in industry today.
