High School Requirements
Butler is a great place for qualified high school students to get a jump on their college education. Our Early College Academies are specifically designed to provide advanced credit in fields such as health care, information technology, and public safety. High school students can begin their college education early, as well as save time and money, by enrolling in college classes offered in their high school. To qualify, you have to meet certain requirements:
You must be classified as a sophomore, junior or senior according to the standards established at your high school. Freshmen classified as gifted can also be qualified with the submission of an Individual Education Plan to the Butler Registrar office.
You must submit a High School/Home School Release Form, signed by your high school principal. Butler requires only one form to be submitted per academic year, but some high schools require one for each semester.
You must meet placement score requirements (either ACT, SAT, or ASSET/COMPASS). If you do not have ACT or SAT scores, you will need to take all three sections of the ASSET/COMPASS test.
You must enroll in person with the high school academic partnership representative at your school.
