Financial Documentation

For admission, you or your sponsor must provide a current bank statement showing a minimum balance equivalent to at least $17,554 USD in addition to a Financial Guarantee Form signed by the student and sponsor. Students must provide documentation of financial support for the full potential estimated cost of attendance, even if the actual cost varies.

Insurance Requirement

Medical insurance coverage is required for all international students. This coverage is not available through Butler. Students must purchase coverage and provide proof of coverage before the start of classes.

Insurance must meet the following requirements:

  • Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness
  • Coverage of at least $10,000 for repatriation of remains
  • Coverage of at least $15,000 for medical evacuation
  • A deductible per accident or illness not exceeding $500
  • Include inpatient and outpatient coverage for sickness and accidents

Butler does not recommend a specific insurance company or policy. Purchased coverage must be active during the entire semester or school year. Information on the dates of coverage must be provided when submitting proof of medical insurance. If proof of insurance is not received after classes begin, a hold will be placed on the student’s account. This will prevent future enrollment.

Methods of Payment

When making any payment on your account, you will need to provide your name and Butler student ID.

From outside the United States:

  • Online payment via Flywire, such as bank wire transfers or debit/credit card payments in home country currency

From within the United States:

  • You can pay in person at an Accounts Receivable office at Butler of Andover or Butler of Eldorado. Cash, card, or check (from a bank in the United States) are accepted
  • Call Accounts Receivable office at 1-316-322-3181 to pay over the phone using a credit card.
  • Online through your MyButlerCC account, click “My Account” to access the Student Payment Center (the $75 admission processing fee cannot be paid through the MyButlerCC account)

Processing Fee

Butler requires a non-refundable $75 USD processing fee for all admitted F-1 international students. This includes all applicants overseas and transfer students from other institutions. The non-refundable processing fee must be received before a student's admission documents will be processed and a Form I-20 can be issued from Butler. See the Methods of Payment above for guidance on paying the fee.

Tuition and Fee Payments

Tuition, fees, and other charges are always due at the beginning of each semester. Late payments are subject to late fees. Monthly payment plans are available, and can be arranged through the Accounts Receivable office. If student bills are not paid, a hold will be placed on the student’s account that may prevent future enrollment, schedule changes, and transcript orders, which may negatively affect the student’s visa status.
