About Engineering Technology
Learn Real-World Engineering Applications
At Butler, we offer hands-on opportunities where you study state-of-the-art technology and management practices in materials, engineering technology and advanced manufacturing processes. Our small class sizes make learning accessible. By working in this cohesive environment, you gain team building skills and use modern technology to explore engineering principles.
At Butler, you can either obtain a two-year degree as an Associate of Science (AS) or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS), based upon which degree path best fits with your goals. You can also obtain one-year certificates focused on Engineering Technology.
Design a product or product system and learn cost analysis principles while you utilize 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD), with the latest CAD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, CATIA and CAM. Learn how to create and maintain electrical and fluid power circuits with personal instruction. By understanding these principles, along with structural and mechanical design training, you can either head straight to a job or transfer to a four-year college.
