Butler's Theatre returns to the stage

"Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood" will run April 16 and April 17

This weekend the Butler Community College Theatre Department will perform “Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood,” a comedy by Ken Ludwig directed by Theatre professor, Bob Peterson. Admission to the show is free of charge. 

According to Peterson, “The play “Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood” is a new take on the Robin Hood legend. It’s a tale of a young man’s discovery that everyone has a responsibility to care for his fellow man.” 

Butler Community College cast members include Emma Burnett of Augusta; Caden Runnalls, Clearwater; David Williams, Jade Darnell and Josh Staats, El Dorado; Hallie Hart, Mulberry; Chelsie Penner, Newton; Hannah Johnson, Potwin; Benjamin Bollinger, Christian Watkins and Hayden Cole, Wichita; and Emma Dunn of Wilmore.  

“Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood” will be performed with limited seating on April 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Butler Community College Fine Arts Theatre, building 700, on the El Dorado campus. Audience members are required to wear masks. Free seating may be reserved by emailing [email protected].
