Celebration of Freedom concert planned live for Nov. 7

Butler Community College’s Instrumental Music Department will perform the Celebration of Freedom concert Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Clifford/Stone Room of the R.D. Hubbard Welcome Center located on the Butler of El Dorado campus.

Tickets are free. No reservation necessary.

The concert is presented as part of the annual El Dorado Celebration of Freedom. This event takes place around Veterans Day and the primary purpose is honoring our veterans.

The show will feature music performed by the Butler Community College Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble. In addition, the musical presentations will include patriotic selections, many of which will be complemented by multimedia videos and images associated with them.

A time of fellowship will follow the concert with cookies and punch served by the ladies of Susannah French Putney chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR.)

Many students participating have received an activity scholarship covering in-state tuition and books. For information on instrumental scholarships and ensembles, visit Instrumental Music Performing Ensembles on butlercc website.
