At Butler, we offer hands-on opportunities where you can learn state-of-the-art technology and management practices in materials, engineering technology and advanced manufacturing processes. Our small class sizes make learning accessible. By working in this cohesive environment, you will gain team building skills and use modern technology to explore engineering principles.
Design a product or product system and learn cost analysis principles while you utilize 2-D and 3-D computer-aided design (CAD), with the latest CAD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, CATIA and CAM. Create and maintain electrical and fluid power circuits with personal instruction. By understanding these principles, along with structural and mechanical design training, you will be able to either head straight to a job or transfer to a four-year university. At Butler, you can either obtain a two-year degree or a certificate in Engineering Technology. The certificate takes only one year to obtain.
