Butler Hosts Second Annual Music Theatre Choral Festival

Vocal faculty invite high school students to participate in musical workshop.

El Dorado, Kan. – The Butler Community College vocal music faculty are inviting area high school students to attend their second annual music theatre choral festival on Wednesday, January 29 from 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Hubbard Welcome Center at the Butler of El Dorado campus.

The festival will be hosted by Butler vocal music faculty and the Wichita Music Theatre community.

Participants will work with faculty and guests to prepare choral musical selections as well as get some insight into the performance industry from professionals. During the last 30 minutes, students will perform a final showcase.

No dance background is required, but all participants should be prepared to move a little.

Students may register individually, but can come in groups. For groups with 12 or more, email vocalmusic@butlercc.edu to discuss discounted pricing. Individual pricing is $10 per student. Participants receive a t-shirt and lunch for their fee.
