Virtual Theatre Scholarship Auditions
Butler Community College offers activity scholarships that cover in-state tuition and books for students participating in music, theatre, art, and mass communication.
Due to restrictions that COVID-19 has imposed, we are offering the option of holding virtual auditions and interviews for Theatre Scholarships. You do not need to major in theatre to receive an activity scholarship.
The virtual audition requirements for a Theatre Performance Scholarship are:
- Self-Recorded Video Audition to include:
Two prepared, memorized, solo acting pieces – not to exceed five minutes in combined length. Please upload your video to YouTube as an unlisted video and submit the link via email with the rest of your submission documents.
- Resume, including GPA
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher.
- A recent photograph
E-Mail to Bob Peterson, Chairman, Theatre Department at Theatre@butlercc.edu
If you would prefer to audition in person, Butler provides a safe space in which the audition will be conducted. The audition will be conducted by the college instructor/director with one student manager in attendance. Social distancing practiced and masks required.
