Enrollment Steps

Apprenticeship Partnership Requirements

To enroll in these programs at Butler Community College, students need to be:

  • An active member of one of the partner apprenticeships

Are you Degree Seeking? Please indicate your degree and major on your application for admission. You will select "Associate of Applied Science" or "Associate of Applied Science and Workforce Development" during your application. Don't worry if you select the wrong degree - we can help make sure you end up in the right program!

Submit recent ACT/SAT scores, previous college transcripts or take a placement test prior to enrollment. Contact testing@butlercc.edu for remote testing or go to our Placement Testing webpage to have questions answered.

Send an official college transcript if you want other college credits to transfer to:

New Butler Student

  1. Apply online by clicking on your apprenticeship logo.

  2. Complete a paper enrollment form with assistance from on-site Butler personnel.

  3. You will receive an acceptance letter in the mail with your username and password, as well as directions on how to activate your Butler account. This enables you to access your Butler email and all Butler communication. ACTIVATE YOUR BUTLER ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY!

  4. Check your mail for your Student Schedule/Bill.

  5. Set up payment using your Butler account with Accounts Receivable.

  6. Order your textbooks.

  7. Log onto Canvas and start your classes.

Returning Butler Student

  1. Enroll using your Butler account with assistance from on-site Butler personnel.

  2. Check your mail for your Student Schedule/Bill.

  3. Set up payment using your Butler account with Accounts Receivable.

  4. Order your textbooks.

  5. Log onto Canvas and start your classes.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) governs all student records at Butler Community College. A student must authorize the college to release information to any 3rd party.

 

Associate in Applied Science       |      Associate in Applied Science in Workforce Development

The Workforce group works with area apprenticeships to help round out educational offerings for their skilled employees. The result is a two-year degree from Butler Community College with credit from your apprenticeship. 

Our partnerships are part of the college's Corporate Studies program. Butler was one of the first in the state to offer an Associate Degree in Corporate Studies to assist trade school participants and apprentices in obtaining their two-year degree. This degree program is unique as it can be tailored to any industry. 

If you are interested in an apprenticeship program or are a union trades worker, please work with your apprenticeship first to get started. Then, complete a free application for admission. There is no application fee. An advisor will assist you every step of the way.
