Instructions for submitting forms
Submit your required documents early
It can take 3‐4 weeks before an award will be made. All posted documents received in our office by 3:00 p.m. will post the same day as received. Otherwise, the posting date will be the following business day. Butler processes file completion in date order according to the last document ‘receive date’ that was accurately completed.
To expedite paperwork:
Include the student's name and Butler student ID number on any document submitted to our office. You may fill out the Adobe PDF forms on your computer, print, mail, or fax the paper forms directly to our office. Please do not attach PDFs as an e‐mail attachment unless you have the FULL version of Adobe Acrobat or you have a scanner. If you fill out the PDFs using the Adobe FREE Reader software, your attachments will be blank.
Do Not Fax Transcripts: Required transcripts must be official and mailed directly from your school to the Registrar's Office or from your State Department of Education for GEDs.
Do Not Fax the Statement of Educational Purposes.
Do Not Fax the FAFSA Signature Page. Federal regulations require a WET signature to sign a paper FAFSA or a paper signature page, or the student/parent can electronically sign the FAFSA using their PIN.
